She then moved on to Traverse City Central coaching varsity volleyball for the next for years with a 125-49-23 record. From 1995 to 2007 she was back at Leland coaching varsity volleyball with a 551-157-48 record. Included in these wins were thirteen conference championships, ten district championships, eight regional titles, three trips to the final four, one runner-up finish and two state championships. In 2010 Laurie returned to Leland once again and continues there as varsity volleyball coach. To date her record is 415-122-33 including four conference championships, nine district championships, eight regional titles, two final four trips, two runner-up finishes, and one state championship. In addition her teams have earned Academic All-State Honors every year.
