The Principal's Update

Dear LPS families,
This week we turned the calendar from September to October, and we move into a month celebrating Caring as our Learner Profile Attribute.
Each month we celebrate 4 students who represent the month’s theme. But as we begin October, I want to honor another caring group: Our Leland PTO!
The Leland PTO is a parent-teacher organization dedicated to supporting teachers, engaging parents, and enhancing our school community. They meet monthly to connect our community! As an organization, the PTO was the star of this week for a few reasons:
  • Sponsoring the School Farmer’s Market for our Elementary students, providing $884 in Market Dollars to support families!
  • Hosting a Fall Social at the Cove Thursday evening for parents and staff to connect and relax together.
  • Kicking off the PTO Impact Fund for the year, their primary fundraiser that funds all of the amazing joy-spreading initiatives. Donate to the Impact Fund via Venmo at @Leland-PTO if you’re able to support this caring group!
Haven’t joined the PTO community yet? All K-12 families are encouraged to join!
To join, visit leland.ptboard.com, create a login, and connect to your student in the directory. Our PTO team will approve your membership and you’ll be connected to this wonderful group.
Have a great weekend, and feel free to reach out with any questions,
