IB Programs
LPS is an International Baccalaureate World School from kindergarten through fifth grade. IB is an approach to teaching and learning based on research and best practices in education. It is a framework that uses state mandated curriculum and challenges students to excel in their academic studies as well as their personal growth. We share IB’s commitment to “improving teaching and learning by developing the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.” IBO

What is the IB Primary Years Program (PYP)?
The Primary Years Program (PYP) is a curriculum framework for young learners aged 3–12 designed by the International Baccalaureate (IB). Founded on a philosophy that recognizes a child’s natural curiosity, creativity and ability to reflect, the PYP generates a stimulating, challenging learning environment to nurture those assets and foster a lifelong love of learning in every child. The PYP is transdisciplinary, meaning students learn across subject areas while investigating big ideas.
*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic Programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program(MYP), the Diploma Program or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC).
