Leland Public School Announces Candidates for Superintendent Search
Leland, MI – Leland Public School is pleased to announce the slate of candidates
selected to advance in the search for its next Superintendent. After a thorough selection
process, the following individuals have been chosen for consideration:
Tuesday, April 1, 2025
5:00 p.m. – Dr. Hugh Potter – Current Program Officer at the United States
Department of Education
6:00 p.m. – Dr. David Harwood – Current Superintendent/Principal at Vanderbilt Area
Schools
7:00 p.m. – Lisa Migazzi – Current 1st/2nd Grade Teacher at Leland Public School
8:00 p.m. – Jeremy Peplinski – Current Assistant Principal at Leland Public School
Wednesday, April 2, 2025
6:00 p.m. – Ryan Huppert – Doctor of Education Leadership Candidate, Resident to
the Superintendent at Revere Public Schools, and former Principal at City High Middle
School
7:00 p.m. – Dr. Sean Wightman – Current Middle School Principal at Dowagiac Union
Schools
We are excited to have such a diverse and highly qualified group of candidates for the
Superintendent position. Each of these individuals brings a unique skill set and
perspective that will help us continue to strengthen and grow the educational
opportunities for all of our students.
The district will be hosting interviews with the candidates at Leland Public School, 200
N. Grand Avenue, Leland, MI. We encourage the Leland community to stay informed
and participate in this important process to help shape the future leadership of Leland
Public School.
