PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION ELECTS 2024-25 OFFICERS
Earlier this week, members of Leland’s Parent Teacher Organization elected officers for the 2024-25 school year. Effective following an early-June transition meeting and serving a one-year term, the four parent volunteers who will lead this group next year are Emily Miezio, President; Emily LaDrig, Vice President; Dan Worth, Treasurer; and Linnea Keen, Recording Secretary. The duties of the Corresponding Secretary will be shared among all four. “I could not be more pleased with the four folks we are electing,” outgoing Secretary Stacey Brugeman said during Monday night’s meeting. “They are outstanding individuals and we are in very good hands.” Want to volunteer in and around the school next year? Yesterday LPS students spent some time outside experiencing the eclipse. All students, K-12, using special safety glasses, were able to get a good look at this natural phenomenon.
