"We finished our season Monday with a golden egg scavenger hunt at 45 North. We had to be creative this year. Actual skiing happened twice. We were still able to enjoy the time together and have a final celebration. I would like to send a huge appreciation to all the parent/staff volunteers, especially Dan Brugeman, Dan Young, Meagan Simpson, Leslie Maclin, Craig Hines, Tom Ulrich, Ashley Burpee, Kathy Wheeler, and Sophie Berner. I am so impressed with the volunteer spirit and love of the sport we all share." - Coach Kirt

"Jack Anderson was recently honored as “4-H Pre-Teen Member of the Year” by Leelanau County 4-H. This was a very competitive contest this year, Jack was nominated by his club leader for his dedication to 4-H, his hard work on animal projects, his growing leadership skills and his community outreach project. Last summer, Jack won Grand Champion at the NW Michigan Fair in the pack goat program, and Reserve Grand Champion in the traditional showmanship contest. Participating in both as a beginner showman, this was quite an achievement itself! Also, last summer, Jack took his goats on community outings, making visits at several nursing homes providing what he called “Goat Therapy!" - Jaclyn Anderson
